Unleashing Your Inner Powerhouse: Lessons from a Transformational Women’s Conference
I recently attended the Powerhouse Women event in Scottsdale. What I experienced there was nothing short of transformational, and I’m excited to share my insights with you. This event challenged my perceptions, pushed me out of my comfort zone, and helped me realize that I’ve been playing small in my business and life.
Initial Doubts and Intimidation
Walking into a room with 800 glamorously dressed women was initially intimidating. I felt out of place and questioned whether I belonged there. However, a powerful statement from one of the attendees changed my perspective:
“If you feel uncomfortable here and like you don’t belong, then you haven’t tapped into this side of you yet.”
This simple yet profound statement opened my mind to the possibilities that lay ahead.
Key Takeaways from the Event
1. Embrace Your Potential
- Who did you have to become to be where you are now? This question encouraged self-reflection on our growth journey.
- The women at the event showed what’s possible, but the answers are already within ourselves.
- There’s a difference between stillness and laziness – learning to be still is crucial for growth.
2. Create Space for Growth
- People who are too busy can’t do big things. This hit home for me, realizing I need to create more space in my life for bigger opportunities.
- Have a top three tasks every day to make space for “heck yes” and “heck no” decisions.
- Decrease stress by practicing “Sky Before Screens” – going outside before checking your phone in the morning.
3. Embrace Failure and Serve Others
- There’s so much growth on the other side of failure.
- Don’t put your ego above serving others.
- Avoid outsourcing vital aspects of your business like connecting, speaking, and writing.
4. Challenge Your Limiting Beliefs
- “You won’t see success if you don’t jump in the pool.” Fully committing is essential for success.
- Unbecome who you’re not – freedom comes from releasing negative self-talk.
- Challenge the rules you’ve been living by – who said you couldn’t do that?
Money Mindset Revelations
One of the most significant revelations for me was about my money mindset. I realized I had been limiting myself with beliefs like:
- “I can’t be around millionaires.”
- “I don’t want to be a millionaire.”
- “Having a lot of money means being greedy.”
Through the event and subsequent reflection, I’ve come to understand:
- Making money isn’t inherently bad – it’s the love of money that’s problematic.
- Success isn’t solely defined by monetary achievements.
- God wants us to be financially free and prosperous so we can serve and give more.
Insights from Jamie Lima, Founder of It Cosmetics
Jamie Lima’s story of perseverance and success was particularly inspiring. Here are some key points from her talk:
- Trust your inner knowing and believe you are worthy.
- Unlearn the lies that make you doubt yourself.
- You don’t become what you want; you become what you believe you’re worthy of.
- Don’t let self-doubt cost you your true destiny.
- “Our setbacks are often God’s setup.”
- “Rejection is God’s protection.”
- Know your “why” and don’t let others’ doubts make you doubt yourself.
The Power of “You Are Worthy”
The most profound moment of the event for me was a personal interaction with Jamie Lima. After taking a picture with her, she called me back, gave me a hug, and whispered, “You are worthy.” Those three simple words were life-changing, affirming that I have the capacity to be a powerhouse woman.
Moving Forward
This event has inspired me to stop playing small and go all-in on my mission to serve mom business owners. I want to help them feel supported, provide them with strategies and tools, and show them that they can excel in both business and motherhood.
Remember, we’re all in this together. Whether you’re just starting or running a successful business, we all face similar doubts and insecurities. But know this: You are worthy of success, of growth, and of achieving your dreams.
If you’re feeling inspired or have any thoughts to share, I’d love to hear from you. Connect with me on Instagram @ThePurposeGathering and let’s continue this conversation.
Thank you for spending part of your day with me.
And as always, mama, I am here rooting for you. You are not alone on this journey , and you are worthy of greatness.
